McGinley, James S.

Jim McGinley is Director of Behavioral Analytics at VPG, joining the company in 2015. After earning his PhD in Quantitative Psychology with a minor in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he founded McGinley Statistical Consulting where he successfully aided pharmaceutical and academic clients in developing, conducting, and disseminating original programs of research. His research focuses on novel mixed-effects models for ordinal data and the application of advanced statistical methods to predict player performance. This work, along with other interests in structural equation modeling and latent growth models, has resulted with publications in top methodological journals such as Statistics in Medicine, Multivariate Behavioral Research, and Methodology. Dr. McGinley’s dedication to effectively collaborating and disseminating methodological and clinical results to wide-ranging audiences has earned him several awards including the Enoch Gordis Research Recognition Award, Lyle V. Jones Award, and the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award.
